This morning, as I entered Five Porticos, where I work as the administrator for Bethesda Healing Ministry, I was struck by the silence and peace that surrounds this former convent house.
The quiet reminder of our Lord’s birth, shown in the large nativity outside, a beautiful porcelain nativity, backlit by white lights, set up in our dining room, and the all white nativity displayed in the Infant of Prague Chapel – serve as reminders that Christmas has just begun.
I’m looking forward to this next week or so at Five Porticos, where the peace, joy and hope of our Lord’s birth can be quietly reflected upon.
